Also, as an added security feature we require the credit cards CVV2.
The CVV2, or Card Verification Value, is a number that is printed, not imprinted, on
the back of your Visa, MasterCard, or Discover card. Visa, MasterCard, and
Discover card members can find their CVV2 number in the signature
area of your card. Your card number or the last 4 digits of your
card number should be printed here along
with a three-digit number at the end. This three-digit number is your CVV2 number. |
|
|
|
The CVV2 may seem like an annoyance but it is a security feature added to
help protect consumers and merchants against the use of stolen credit cards
online. The CVV2 is never transferred during card swipes and should only be
known by the cardholder, the person holding the card in their
hand. The idea being that the online user must have the card in their hand to have access
to the CVV2, so the person making the online purchase must have the
card and not just the card number. We have implemented the requirement
of the CVV2 as an additional security measure to protect our
customers from fraudulent use of their credit card. Minimizing
fraudulent credit card charges will enable us to keep our price as low as
possible. |
